About
“Mister Fusty” is the musical pseudonym of Rob Gibson, of Whitley Bay, England. He’s produced 2 albums and 2 EPs, of instrumental electronic lounge pop and a third album, “Over The Rocky Mountains“, which this time features vocals is released this year in association with new label Headphone Treats.
Rob also attempts to be a writer (scratch that, I’m too lazy to be a writer) and also generally complains a lot. He has no adeptness, tenacity, or money for publicity therefore he doesn’t sell many records. However he hopes one day that sheer enthusiasm and luck will win out and some film producer will be decent enough to offer him a soundtrack job.
His influences range from Burt Bacharach and Brian Wilson, to the likes of Stereolab and The High Llamas.
