Four Percent Pantomime

About

Welcome to this new endeavour, spear-headed by your paragons of virtue, your party hosts for the new millenium and the most charistmatic duo ever to be seen via your computer screen.

Paul and Rob got together and decided there clearly wasn’t enough blogs in the world, so thus we have Four Percent Pantomime.

Named after a song by The Band, co-written with Van Morrison, who dropped in on Robbie Robertson one afternoon and helped him finish a song about two musicians stranded in Hollywood with nothing but a bottle of whiskey to console them. Fittingly the song became a duet between ‘the Belfast Cowboy’ and Richard Manuel. The title referred to alcohol - the difference in percentage between Johnny Walker Red and Black - and to the ‘pantomime’ that Van and Richard staged as they were recording their vocals.
